   This is a male. Typically the species of this family (Riodinidae) have six legs and the female of this species has the
   expected six (see next image), but in the male, the forelegs are almost atrophied, as can be seen in this
   individual - only two functional legs on the left side are visible, but one of the shrunken forelimbs can be seen.
